The International Federation of Takaful and Islamic Insurance companies hosted Dr. Abdul Qader Wersama Ghaleb, Legal Counselor and Professor of Business Laws at the American University of Bahrain, to present a lecture on Monday, January 23 - 2017 at the Hall of Union of Sudanese Banks in Khartoum. The lecture was titled: ‘Governance of Islamic financial institutions’.
The lecture was attended by the general manager of the Insurance Supervisory Board, the chairmen of insurance companies' boards of directors, the delegated members, the insurance companies' general managers, the administrative and financial directors, directors of the legal departments, the members of the Shari'a Supervisory Boards, a number of bank representatives in Sudan, and professors of the insurance departments in faculties of commerce and economy in Sudanese universities.
The general manager of the Insurance Supervisory Board called for holding a special seminar for members of the boards of directors to discuss the promotion of the Sudanese experience in Islamic insurance at the local, regional and international levels.
